American Girl Place is basically a 3-storey mall featuring everything to do with the American Girl. Books, toys, clothes and everything else under the sun that is perceptively attractive to girls, it’s there. And you know what is so amazing about this place? Instead of commercialized and materialistic Barbie, American Girl is about values, principles, good morals and living a correct life. Yes, this are the kind of things taught to little girls long ago – and all this will become apparent again when you make a bus tour stop at this Chicago IL attraction. Teach those little girls that money DOES make the world go round but it’s not everything there is to life.

They have a Café or restaurant that serves reasonably priced food and with a menu selection that could be better but hey, who’s there to eat anyway? And besides, the ‘simpleness’ of the dishes serves the kids well. Love the souvenirs, though. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to watch live performances by little pre-teen girls there during your bus tour stop. Very touching and life enriching entertainment, indeed.
