Franklin lived a large portion of his great life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh has been home to many great people in its time, as well as the home to many great sports teams, including the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. It is here that the first Andrew Carnegie museums were established. Also an interesting and most likely unknown museum is the Mattress Factory. All of these constructs make Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a great destination for people from many different walks of life.

The Andrew Carnegie museums were established in 1895 with the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The idea was and is still today to educate people on the cultural experiences of life. There are four museums that are run through the institute. They are the Museum of Art, Museum of Natural History, Science Center and the Andy Warhol Museum. The Mattress Factory, located in the Mexican War streets on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's north side is a unique museum unlike any other. Long Acre Farms is another construction distinctly Rochester, New York. It is ideally a teambuilding experience. It is a maize maze, which includes a market and gift shop, ice cream parlor, bakery and 5-acre play area with goats. Surprising, there is a pirate ship on the premises to heighten the experience. The area is available for private parties and corporate events. This place is so unique that people come from all over the entire globe to experience what Rochester has to offer.

Of course, the first stop has to be to the many memorials and monuments that honor the history of the United States of America and its past leaders. Visit the National War II Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial to just name a few. While you are there, you must take a tour of the White House and the Capital Buildings.

If you are still wondering what to do in Washington, D.C., after you have exhausted all of the history, you may want to take a trip over to Union Station. This is one of the best places to shop in the United States with its many stores, restaurants, salons and galleries. If you would like to see an exhibit about different religious faiths, you can go to the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. Here you will learn of many different religious faiths as well as explore different cultures and customs of other communities.

Those that are Shakespeare buffs will want to visit the Folger Shakespeare Library. Here you will learn all there is to know about Shakespeare. You can also watch many different plays, and concerts. Special readings of Shakespeare are also hi-lighted. Before you leave you should stop by the Old Post Office Pavilion, and the International Trade Center/Ronald Reagan Building.

There is no question on things to do in Staten Island New York. The only real question is what to do first.

You will want to get on the Staten Island Ferry so it can take you to places where there are things that you and the whole family will enjoy. It is the best way to get around when you are there. Traffic on the bridge on the way there isn't always the most enjoyable. So relax on your Ferry trip to Staten Island.

Start off with some history and culture by visiting places like Historic Richmond Town. It is there that you will the most history of the beginning of our nation. You will see houses and other structures that date back to the late 1600's. See where the beginnings of our nation's government first began. Not only a great place for a family trip, but a terrific place for a class field trip to take.

You will then want to see such places like Snug Harbor Cultural Center. This is a place where you will get a chance to see excellent art exhibits and see the best in performing arts. If you love history, art and live entertainment this is the one stop place to do it.

If you love plants and love Chinese gardens you need to go to the Staten Island Botanical Garden. Experience some of the most beautiful plant, tree and pond exhibits when you take a tour in this Botanical heaven. If you love reptiles the Staten Island Zoo has one of the best reptile exhibits of any zoo. You will also see other animals so if reptiles aren't your thing, don't worry.

There is so much to do and see you might want to plan an agenda before you go. Also it is always a good idea to talk with a trip advisor before you go. That way you can make the most of your trip.

No one will ever walk around wondering what to do in Buffalo, New York. The highlight of the trip will, of course, be a trip to Niagara Falls. If Buffalo offered no more than a view of the falls, it would be worth the trip. However, the Niagra Falls State Park also offers an aquarium, restaurants, and a discovery center that will delight the young or old.

If excitement is in your blood, you should take the family to Martin's Fantasy Island. Experience the thrill of at least 100 hundred different rides.
