Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend in Washington DC
In celebration of all things leather, Washington DC celebrates it with the annual Mid Atlantic Leather weekend where exhibitors come together to show off their leather stuff while taking the opportunity to network with others in the industry and establish new partnerships during the exhibition times. The Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend is known to draw throngs of crowd and customers - and on top of that, there is almost always a big group of curious onlookers who end up browsing through the stuff on display and purchasing the leather materials from this Washington DC bazaar.
The Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend for 2007 will take place in Washington DC from 12 to 14 of January, so, if you have not booked your tickets and bus, this would be a good time to do so.
What's going to happen at this Washington DC show?
For one thing, after registration on January 12, 2007 which will be open from 2pm till 10pm , there will be the Leather Exhibit Hall at the Washington Plaza Hotel from 4pm till 10pm . And on the same day, there will be the Meet the MEAT Tour which will take place at DC Eagle, Green Lantern, Titan Ramrod at 10pm .
On Saturday, January 13, 2007 , there will be the not-to-be-missed Mr. MAL Fundraiser for MAL 2007 Travel Fund which will take place at the Washington Plaza Hotel from 9.30am right up to 11am . Following that would be the second Leather Exhibit Hall at the same place from 10am till 5pm . After a short break, you must make it a point to attend the Leather Cocktails at the Almas Temple from 6.30pm till 9.30pm and of course, you can follow up with the Blowoff Dance which will carry on from 9.30p till 3.00am !
Sunday January 14, 2007 will start with a Brunch at 11am till 12.45pm at the Almas Temple which will be followed by the Leather Exhibit Hall at the same place, Washington Plaza Hotel from noon till evening 6pm . Since it's the last day of this annual event, there will be a Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather Contest at the Almas Temple starting off at 1pm till 5pm .
And here comes the clincher. For those who have not partied enough at the Blowoff Dance, this is the chance to take it way further and end the whole event with a big bang - the REACTION Dance at the 9.30 Club (815, V ST. N.W. Washington DC from 10pm till 6am .
Enchanting Entertainment
Varla Jean Merman will be heating up the stage during the Washington DC event (a.k.a Jeffery Roberson). Merman is a well-known face in the entertainment industry because he was one of the people who appeared in the Broadway role of "Mary Sunshine" in the revival of Chicago .
