The question you will want to ask yourself before you begin your trip
is not what there is to do in New York City, but what all of the many
attractions you can actually fit in to your vacation. Because
regardless of your likes and dislikes, whether you are young or old,
single or with that special someone, New York City has something for
everyone to enjoy. The Big Apple is ready for you, but are you ready

subways can be confusing. Let a charter bus service take you where you
want to go on this trip of a life time.
The Empire State Building
One
of the many must-sees in New York City is the Empire State Building.
This building is officially a National Historic Landmark, and according
to the official Empire State Building Site, the building penetrates a
quarter of a mile into the atmosphere. Seeing this building from the
ground simply does not do it justice. Take an elevator to the 86th
floor and enjoy the amazing views from the Observatory. The Observatory
opened to the public in 1931 and has seen 110 million visitors pass
through it. There are tons of things to do within the Observatory
including restaurants, coffee shops and much more.
Central Park
Central
Park is a green 843 acres large and is one of New York City’s most
prized gems. There is a walking tour that you can take that is schedule
out of the Conservatory. There are also the popular and famous
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides. These rides are offered year round and are
considered romantic, even at $34 a pop. One can also learn the history
of Central Park and hear about how Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert
Vaux designed one of America’s favorite parks.
Ground Zero
One
thing you will not want to neglect when traveling to New York is the
site at Ground Zero, also known as the Footprints of the Twin Towers.
Though the rubble is gone, the vacant spot reminds the world of the day
when 3000 people were killed in the 9-11 attacks. There are many
different ways to actually view Ground Zero. Chambers Street and Fulton
Street place a traveler only a few blocks from Ground Zero. Visitors
must understand that there is not much to be seen except for the
preparation of new construction.
If
you visit St. Paul’s Chapel on Broadway and Fulton, you will have a
chance to see an exhibit lifting up the rescue workers that entered the
church to find peace after long cleanup days. The church originally
made a makeshift memorial devised by the St. Paul’s staff. Referred to
as the “wall of memories,” there are many items from letters, posters,
and flags to personal belongings of those lost in the attack. The items
and the wall are now tucked away, but still there is a presence in the
Chapel. There has also been a temporary memorial placed in Battery
Park. There is a piece of a fountain known as “The Sphere for Plaza
Fountain,” that was in the plaza of the World Trade Center. It now
exists in Battery Park.
NYC Theatre District
If
shows and plays are for you, checking out New York’s Theater District
is a must. There is both Broadway and Off-Broadway shows to choose
from. If you are into shows like Mamma Mia, Broadway is for your. If
avant-garde is more your thing, consider Off Broadway, or even more low
budget and risky if the Off-Off Broadway Theater venue. Then there are
also dance options for you to enjoy.
Planning your trip around New York City is a tedious task. Don’t let
driving, having to hail taxis, or trying to figure out the subway
system make your vacation harder than it needs to be. Let a charter bus
service handle the driving for you and sit back and enjoy!
