Everywhere in Manhattan NYC is bustling with one thing or another, so, to say
that my schedule during one of my Manhattan NYC charter bus rental trip there
was 'hectic' is probably some sort of understatement. But that's also why I
totally fell head over heels in love with Greenwich Village. It rang of, smelt
of, look like a completely different world from most of the other parts of
Manhattan NYC. So, if you really want to take yourself away from everything
that's modern and swinging in the city, it has to be in Greenwich Village.
I was particularly surprised with how charming the whole
layout of the place was - besotted, I couldn't keep my eyes peeled
away from the passing scenery as the Manhattan NYC charter bus rental cruised
along the zigzagging streets, passing brownstone buildings that looked like it
belonged to another world or era. It was still bustling…but with a completely
different kind of vibe, I guess. If I had a put a date on what era it reminded
me of, I would say 1800-ish. What's most important was the fact that the people
were mostly people who were not in the least bit of hurry to be in any
particular place at any particular time. Or was it because I had this Manhattan
NYC charter bus rental holiday trip during one of those off-peak hours? Could
be.
Calm and serene as it was, it still had its nightlife of all
kinds including rock, dance, bars, cafes, nightclubs and jazz clubs too. I
didn't have the chance to visit all of them but I loved the jazz clubs I went to
and had pleasant exchanges with the locals in nearby cafes. There is a wide
variety of restaurants and dining options too so, you don't have to worry about
getting bored of fast food.
What's interesting about Greenwich Village is that it's a
place made specifically for people who had…er….unconventional thinking. This is
where famous artistes, performers and reformers, intellectuals, students and
gays conglomerate. So, during my Manhattan NYC charter bus rental trip, I had
many mind-challenging conversations from the people over beers and cakes.
SOHO and NYU are there therefore, you can expect a large
number of young people and students hanging around in the beautiful parks. They
tend to like to eat and drink out too, so it worked out pretty nicely for me.
Although NYC is well-known for its crime rate, this is not so in Greenwich
Village….well, I wasn't there long enough to know the stats but it just feels a
whole lot safer here.
All in all, it was an impressively intellectual and
eclectically interesting trip there. Is it high on my must-visit places in the
country? Oh, yes!
