J Gilbert's – Glastonbury (Hartford CT)

Touted as an upscale or high class dining destination in Hartford Connecticut, J Gilbert is apparently one of those places Hartford CT charter bus rental visitors should visit…should the case be that money is not an issue. Personally, I don't think there's anything too spectacular about J Gilber's restaurant and it's not the 'best' in terms of food and pricing because I've been on many Hartford CT charter bus rental trips before and I've been to better restaurants but….

….the effort they made in making the food is undeniable. Every dish that rolled past the swinging kitchen door spelt E.F.F.O.R.T and C.L.A.S.S. This Hartford CT charter bus rental restaurant use their word-friend grilled prime-aged beef as a bait to their customers, but in actual fact, when I arrived and took a look at the menu, they serve almost everything else under the sun. judging from my reaction to what I ordered and what my friends ordered – they were simply fantastic!

The atmosphere, I would have to say, they tried to make it cozy and friendly but because we made our Hartford CT charter bus rental stop on a Friday night, it was not possible for us to have a decent conversation throughout dinner because there was a large party going on and we had to remain quiet throughout our dinner. But the fabulously cooked steak made up for it, I guess.

Oh, I remember a friend of mine who ordered a chicken dish and when it came out, it looked absolutely hilarious – we guffawed as he peeled off the pine tree out of the chicken! Despite the noisy atmosphere, we couldn't resist ordering a few rounds of drinks after dinner – they have a wide wine and drinks selection there and if you don't know what's good, the staff makes an obviously deliberate effort to service you with a real smile…which was great.

The food, however, isn't quite the conventional type of food. For the décor and arty-outlook, the price of the dishes there are more or less twenty to thirty percent higher than what you'd find in a normal chain of restaurant. This is not to say that what we ate during our Hartford CT charter bus rental visit here wasn't worth it – it was, but be warned that it isn't the kind of cheap eat you'd be looking for.

There's, technically, no need to make reservations before heading over but if you're heading over on Friday or Saturday, just to be on the safe side, give them a call and book yourself a table. All in all, if wasn't a spectacular Hartford CT charter bus rental dining experience but the food was well worth the price.
