"The Constitution State" Connecticut

The New England region of the U.S. is one of the most beautiful and charming regions that the United States has to offer. One state that boasts this beauty and charm without hesitation is Connecticut. With a plethora of historical sites and an abundance of natural beauty, consider Connecticut when making your way up north. And what's the best way to enjoy and appreciate Connecticut? That's simple: a charter bus service. And what all can you see and do with a Connecticut charter bus service? Below are just some of the possibilities.
Connecticut is a state brewed and steeped in history. Known as the Constitution state, arguments have been made that Connecticut was home to the first constitution, the Fundamental Orders of 1938/39. Take a charter bus and explore all of the historical sites of Connecticut. In the Hartford area, you can take a charter bus enjoy the historical Mark Twain House, a 19th century Victorian mansion. You can tour the Nathan Hale Homestead, the home of the Connecticut martyr of the Revolutionary war. Also, you won't want to miss the Wadsworth Athenaeum, which, according to See Connecticut, is the oldest national art museum with 50,000 pieces of art that span over the past 5,000 years!

Connecticut also offers loads of museums and tourist spots that you may not expect. The Danbury Railway Museum pays homage to the history of the railroad, just another option for the historian of the family. The Lake Compounce Theme Park, for example, is the nation's oldest amusement parks with a white water rafting ride, two roller coasters and so much more. Connecticut is also home to the Carousel Museum of New England which showcases antique carousels. Mystic Seaport is also one of Connecticut's most beloved and visited attractions. The 19th century whaling village offers recreated ships, shops, and homes. As if that were not enough, the streets of Connecticut towns such as Kent and Litchfield are also graced with antique shops that you can stroll through.

In addition to Connecticut's amazing historical value, there is also a bold natural element about Connecticut that makes it one of the nation's true gems. One of the greatest times to travel to Connecticut is during the fall, when the autumn foliage is in full color and beauty. Litchfield, for example, is considered a "fall foliage home base,” according to writer Kim Knox Beckius. Weather alters the peak time of the autumn color, but the last week in September and the first two weeks in October often provide the perfect leaves for fall foliage on-lookers. And when you view this beauty on a charter bus, there is no driving or stress. Just sit back and enjoy the view.

If you feel like you need to enjoy the great outdoors, consider taking your charter bus to Connecticut's state parks and recreational facilities. Hammonasset Beach State Park, for example, provides two miles of beach enjoyment. You can swim, fish, boat, hike, or camp at this park, and while there is a parking fee, the park is open year-round. Hammonasset also offers a nature center. There is also Ocean Beach Park on Ocean Avenue. This park offers a pool and waterslide, miniature golf, and concession stands to keep away the hunger while you enjoy your day.

All of these places are accessible through a charter bus service. Save yourself the dragging feeling that comes along with driving all day, as well as the hassle of finding a parking space. Let someone else do the driving for you and enjoy your stay in Connecticut!
