Back when Detroit
was merely a small growing-up city in the country, Greektown, I heard, was the
only place the locals to head to where things actually happen (as opposed to 'waiting
to happen'). We did a little bit of research about this Detroit charter bus
rental destination before heading over and found out that there isn't much to
do there except to eat and play a couple of rounds in the casino. Not encouraging
– but at the encouragement of friends, we decided that if we wanted to know the
real deal, we had to make a Detroit charter bus rental stop there….at least for
a short stop to see what it is like now.
Some said that Greektown used to throb with activity….and we
could see that the moment the rented charter bus rolled to stop. Everywhere you
turn, there's a Greek restaurant with queer names and funny signboards. There
were clubs and shopping centers too but a rather small and dinghy one. Let's
just say that the atmosphere at this Detroit
charter bus rental destination is mixed – you can smell the old and touch the
new! We can see that Greektown is consistently being updated because there's an
upscale feel to it….and yet, there are still many affordable Greek diners,
restaurants and clubs that rang of old.
We headed over to a Detroit
charter bus rental diner called Pegasus…there are many others, take your pick.
The food was yummy and affordable on top of being really authentic. It does not
taste like the Detroit version of
Greek food, so, I suspect that they have Greek cook or some really awesome
Greek recipes going on there.
One word of advice, just don't expect swanky hotels and
restaurants. Things are probably going to look old-school but this is the charm
behind this Detroit charter bus
rental destination. You want old, here's old…but with consistent upgrades. You
may have to make peace with the dust, possible grime and dirt. If you can look
past that, then this is going to be an awesome Detroit
charter bus rental stop for you and your friends.
Maybe it's because we're traveling the way Detroit
charter bus rental foreign visitors would because the people were simply
amazing. The service was so-so but the people, the ones walking past you on the
walkways, they're amazingly friendly and welcome you with open arms.
When you're there for your Detroit
charter bus rental holiday, be sure to grab some food from the many bakeries –
very different and unique.
