Le Coq Au Vin (Orlando FL)

Frankly, I had no idea how one pronounces the name of this restaurant….not then, not now. :-) But all I know is that if you’re looking for a fanta-bulous place to have good food, fantastic service, a healthy menu and personal attention, then you’re really looking for Le Coq Au Vin.
This little restaurant is tucked up in South Orange Avenue in Orlando Florida and some say that they are the best husband-and-wife team restaurant in the country. I couldn’t disagree with them at all. The reason is simple – as you make your way there in your rented charter bus, you’ll see that all that fanfare, and décor and stuff is not at all important to them. What they care about is what eventually ends up in your mouth and how much you appreciate the food that they’ve served you! And to me, that’s a fantastic attitude to have when running a restaurant. Without the fancy décor, they still hold their own.

Like most French food, the recipes are mostly laden heavily with wine….which gives the dishes very sultry and divine flavor. Cooking with wine takes skills and they’ve mastered this right down to the very last drop. I heard that they keep their customers from getting bored with their food by changing their menu every now and then…I am assuming they change it seasonally. Whatever it is, Le Coq Au Vin is definitely one fine Orlando FL restaurant to try out.

The sweetbreads that I had when I was there was amazing when I ate it with morel mushrooms and do try out their soufflés.

And when they say that they use farm fresh ingredients, they are not kidding! You can, literally, feel the freshness of the food with every bite that you take. Well, as mentioned, the décor and atmosphere is nothing to shout about – it’s ordinary but they make up for it with exceptionally good food.

They have different menu for dinner, lunch and lighter meals. If you’re not sure what to order when you’re there, give the waiter a holler and he/she will give you some recommendations. What he recommended me was the Gateau De Crabe….in short, it’s crab cake fried with green tomatoes and soaked with Cajun hollandaise sauce. Absolutely scrumptious!

Although their décor is a little low-key, everything there is spanking clean. The bathrooms, tables and chairs are literally sparkling so you will be confident that they serve good food on clean utensils.

For those of you who have yet to book your Orlando FL charter bus rental packages, do give us a call right now at 1-800-359-5991.
