Salad Bowl (Fort Lauderdale FL)

We were hungry, we wanted to eat. Although the charter bus that we rented was rolling along quietly along the highway and we’re really comfortable just hanging around, drinking our beers and having some fun playing cards, you can’t fight hunger for very long. We were thankful that we decided to use a Fort Lauderdale FL charter bus rental service, though, because the bus driver turned around and said, ‘I’ll take you to Salad Bowl.

We don’t want salad! We want REAL food, please. He laughed it off and took us there, anyway and what an amazing decision that was. You see, Salad Bowl is a restaurant that serves us an amazing array of food for breakfast, lunch and catering. They’re not open for dinner, though.

The location is right smack in the middle of the business district of Fort Lauderdale’s downtown and traffic was building up. Lucky for us, we’ve got the Fort Lauderdale FL charter bus rental service here. As we entered the restaurant in a seriously ravenous state, we scanned the menu, trying to be as quick as we can but the menu was long and when you’re hungry, you want everything. We noticed, however, that the dishes are very diverse in terms of culture and origin and it embraces what South Florida is.

There’s sandwiches, burgers, a Latin menu and many other specialty food that we ordered. The wait was a little long because there was a bit of a crowd after we arrived. So, these famished group of charter bus rental tourist headed to the hot buffet table instead, while waiting for our food to arrive. According to one of the friendly staff, the buffet menu changes everyday so that no one has to eat the same buffet food every day.

The fantastic thing is that you know it’s not a fastfood chain so you get really good treatment when you’re there. It’s probably got to do with the fact that it’s a friendly family-owned business.

I totally am in love with the Chicken Milanese I picked from the Latin Menu and they had sandwiches that I passed. According to my friend who decided to pick a salad dish, the Roman Beef Salad is out-of-this-world.

So, if you ever hop by Fort Lauderdale, DO visit this incredible restaurant for a big bite.
