One can only enjoy the World of Coca-Cola so many times,
this is what I believe in because during one our visits to Atlanta GA (the
tenth time we’ve rented a bus from our favorite Atlanta GA charter bus rental
company and traipsed over to Atlanta), when the suggestion of visiting the
World of Coca-Cola came up, my hand instantly went up into the air in
objection.
I read somewhere on the Internet that there was this neat
little nook in Virginia Highlands in Atlanta called the Spacetime Institute
which is sort of a library, museum and learning center all rolled into one. It
was small library focused on helping people understand information and stuff
about the galaxy and the earth. We had a couple of kids with us at that time
and felt that they would be happy there after all. So off we went.
First of all, it WAS small but we were not really
disappointed despite having visited so many tourist attractions that costs
millions and billions of dollars because this is a non-profit organization and
is run by a friendly bunch of young volunteers who are really obsessed with the
Universe. Having spoken to one of them, I learned that he volunteered to work
at the Spacetime Institute because he liked being surrounded by so much
information about the world and the galaxy. He found it reveling to be able to
share the information with others as well.
In short, the Spacetime Institute focuses and intends to
promote the study of theoretical works, which means that most of the stuff in
there are theories and hypothesis. It was dark in there - they wanted to give
visitors the feeling of being in the center of the Universe so the place is
dark gray and black. The small library offers up a world of literature relating
to everything science….from philosophy to space-time theory. If you want to
check your email, you can do it here as well because there are personal
computers with internet access for you; however, we did a little of research on
time-traveling from the books and the internet.
Little did we know how much we would enjoy the trip there
because we almost forgot about dinner.
By the time we headed back into the rented charter bus, our
minds were a little bigger. The Spacetime Institute is definitely worth a visit
if you decided to call an Atlanta
charter bus rental company up, book a bus for a weekend visit.
