Outdoor In Washington DC's Grove Of Patriarchs

Have you ever wondered if it was possible for the kids to have a little bit of outdoor fun in a city that has a reputation of bad weather all year round? Of course it's possible! But first, we recommend getting your hands on some really affordable Washington DC charter bus rental package. Now onto the real thing....Grove of the Patriarchs. If you have never been there, now is a fantastic time just right before winter crawls along. Suck in the sweet scent of the natural environment and simply marvel at the magnificence of the place - you can't find the same tree in other parts of the state, we're telling you. On top of that, you get to take a hike along a boardwalk or trail and revel in the kid-friendly splendor.
It's a fantastic feeling getting your gear ready, knowing that you are going to be completely one with nature in a city like Washington DC. I mean, how many times do you actually gear up for something like this....as opposed to gearing up for a shopping trip or a night out with friends? Hardly, if I am guessing your answer right. Well, like all concrete jungle dwellers, this comes as a chance to make use of some of those dead muscles in the legs.

In order to make the most of your trip here, one word of advice...get up early and hop into the rented charter bus as soon as you can. You need all the time that you can get. And don't forget to pack that mozzie repellant the night before. Nature comes with its own perils, you see.

The first time we heard of the name Douglas-firs was....well, never. We've never heard of the tree before and when introduced, we thought it smelt like heaven! According to our friendly guide, there are also Western Hemlocks and Cedars and such but we fell in love with the dense jungle almost as soon as we stepped into it. Let's look at it this way....the trip to this gorgeous Washington DC hiking trail is different because you know this is not a man-made thing.

You know, when we started out, we were prepared for long, lengthy, knee-cap-breaking walk and hike. Although some slopes were steeper than we had anticipated, the hike wasn't as long as we thought it was going to be. It simply went one circle and ended right where we started....I think. During the trail, one of the most amazing Washington DC scenery stopped us all in our tracks – the stunning view on the suspension bridge overlooking an island on the Ohanapecosh River. You could live long and hard remembering the scene in your head without the help of a camera.

All in all, it was an amazing hike and we would all do it again considering the fact that we will always have the help of the Washington DC charter bus rental vehicle with us – after all that walking, a little bit of comfy cushion and air-conditioning was welcome.
