Willis Tower Skydeck (Chicago IL)

Once upon a time Sears Tower used to be the world's tallest building and it attracted tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. Now, it stands tall against the test of time, its significance dwindled down to merely a historical site and ripped of its title as the tallest building in the world. However, is it any less beautiful? No! We got to see it again (the last time being when we were merely kids) when we got hold of a Chicago IL charter bus rental package and visited Chicago again last summer. One-hundred-and-ten stories high, it offers a glorious view of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan.

As you stand there gazing out into the city and part of the suburbs, it almost seems like you are standing at the top of the world just looking down at the manmade creation all over Chicago. Regardless of the time of the year, there is bound to be a line outside, and that is the downside. However, if you organize your Chicago IL charter bus rental visit early, you ought to also grab a discount ticket too. You can shave off a few more bucks with group booking. Anyway, it's a must! There is a multimedia presentation at the skydeck and there are tours but we didn't take the guided ones. We preferred standing there with the amazing view, sucking as much as we could during the short visit.

One word of advice for those who have a fear of heights – it is going to feel like you are floating on air. Seriously, be ready for a bit of giddiness too as the elevator makes its way up. I mean, we are talking about an elevator which climbs twenty feet per second here, it's awesome! And the glass is made of glass so it might make you feel a little anxious but trust me, once you catch site of the view, you will forget all about that glass floor and will be traipsing around happily.

Some compared the Sears Tower to the John Hancock building and said that there are lots more stuff there, but to me, I personally prefer this skydeck because it is more peaceful and serene. Of course, being a bit of a history buff, I love the historical part of this wonderful Chicago IL tourist destination.

In the meantime, if you are looking for Chicago IL charter bus rental service, please feel free to get in touch with our customer service people. We are at your service 24/7 365!
