Sammy Duvall Watersports Centre (Orlando FL)

One thing's for sure, you can't organize a group bus trip all the way down to Orlando FL without visiting Disney World. You can be eight years old or eighty, suffice to say, Disney World is most definitely a place where everyone...and I mean EVERYONE...gets to feel absolutely young and unabashedly free to do whatever it is that they want.
But I am not writing about Disney World today – it is another experience at Sammy Duvall Watersports Center that is taking centre stage today.

After our wild time inside Disney World, one of our friends, Sam, who is always energetic as long as he remains awake, suggested taking on watersports. At first dubious about my own survival at the watersports centre, I decided that I get to live this life only once so...ok, I did it anyway...and boy, I am sure glad that I did!

The Sammy Duvall Watersports Center is located inside of the Disney Resort and it gives you the opportunity to try out parasailing – a kind of sailing that takes your breath away when you get on the personal watercraft. Among other things, they have the tube (must safer, if that is what you are looking for), heart-attack-inducing water-skiing activities, wakeboarding, etc. Because we arrived late, we didn't get to do as many things as we wanted to but the inner child was quite satisfied with all the wild and adrenaline-pumping activities.

Because of the all-year-round sunny weather in Orlando FL, the watersports centre, like Disney World, is open 365 days a year. No holidays for the folks here so, just get on the bus and head over. All you need is to call up your favorite Orlando charter bus rental company (if traveling in a large group) and head over.

The thing with parasailing is this – we often think that this kind of activity is for the young and active. I was completely caught by surprise when I saw that there were quite a number of elderly women (well, they looked very fit!) who took it all in their stride as well.

If there is one negative thing about the experience here, it would be the price. Be prepared to pay through your nose to get in. Nevertheless, it was cool that we got to do all those things that we would never have dreamed of doing back here.

And in case you are wondering if it is safe for little kids, the answer is 'yes'. Safety is big on their list of priorities because we were all harnessed, checked through thoroughly and guided.

I agree. The busses here are run pnleomihalny well. I think the most people I've ever seen get on at a bus stop is about 6 (and that's pretty rare), so the busses are already going about as frequently as they can go without having completely empty trips.I disagree on the commuter rail, and I'll tell you why. WiFi. Austinites are notorious work-aholics. I bet you that some businesses will encourage their workers to take the train so that they can make them work the whole way in and out. If they would put WiFi on the busses (please!), they wouldn't be able to get people to leave. The problem with public transit is that it's still only attractive to people who would rather do anything but drive. But if you added the Internet? Bloggers blogging all the way to work. WOW junkies getting an additional fix in. I think Internet will be the tipping point. But then again I like the bus, and I don't really mind talking to pan handlers, so maybe I'm living in a fantasy world.
