Brit's Pub (Minneapolis)

Ever tried lawn bowling? Ever tried drinking while lawn bowling? Well, maybe it is time to experience this if you are visiting Minneapolis. We have heard of this drinking hole called Brit's Pub before heading over, thanks to the internet, but it wasn't much of an attraction to me, honestly speaking because it sounded like one of those places where you don't get to see much else other than darkened rooms and loud chatter.

However, during one of our traipsing trips with good ole reliable Minneapolis charter bus rental services, we decided to give this place a go. And what an awesome experience it was!

This pub started off modestly with only a couple of roomful of space twenty years ago. Yes, 2010 is the 20th year that Brit's Pub has been open for business. Over the years, they added more to it and now, it comes with an amazing 10,000 square feet lawn bowling space called the English Garden Park.

Frankly, none of us knew much about lawn bowling but it was an enriching experience, indeed. Some of the locals were more than happy to give us some tips, as awkward as we looked. We gave them some really good laughs with our antics.

Well, if you are not into lawn bowling, you can sit around and enjoy the games at the Veranda Bar, sipping your drink, enjoying the breeze and watching those playing at the English Garden Park. The Veranda Bar overlooks the English Garden Park. It's gorgeous!

After a few lousy games of lawn bowling, we wanted to see more of the establishment, hence, we headed out to The Clubhouse which is quite a comfortable party lounge. Here, we saw younger people who enjoyed their drinks while catching up with their friends.

Honestly, we were expecting it to be some sort of exclusive British pub where only the English people were admitted in; that is totally not the case. As English as the pub is, the people are extremely warm, welcoming and friendly. We made quite a few new friends here, actually.

At the end of 2010, they'll be having their 20th anniversary celebration. So, if you are in Minneapolis during this time, stop by and have a few drinks. We think you will find yourself having a 'jolly good time'.

For those who are planning events like party bus pub crawls or large events, remember to give US Coachways a tinkle for reliable Minneapolis charter bus rental services. The number to call is 1-877-873-1838.

Your post attracted me to visit Brit's Pub and try bowling after drinking beer.

I love bowling drunk. Bowling by itself is fun but throw in a few beers and its a blast :)
