Aesop's Tables (Staten Island, NY)

If you’re looking for good and affordable food in Staten Island, look no further than Aesop’s Tables which is more of a fun-land than a restaurant. As you approach the front door, you might even get a little confused as it looks so funky and….kiddy. It’s truly a unique bus tour visit. Most of the dishes on their menu are mainly American cuisine, so, there won’t be any surprises there.

The martinis were perfect! It makes the perfect after dinner drink, so, be sure to try it out during your bus tour stop here. Another dish you can try is their fried Calamari Appetizer which is always crispy and full of flavor. One thing to remember is that the portion that they serve is huge, so, share if you have to and hate to see all that good food go to waste. They have an extensive wine list for you to choose from if you’re not a martini type of person. Some said that this bus tour dining destination’s lobster roll is absolutely to-die-for; another alternative would be their crab cakes!

Vegetarians don’t have to stick to salads and vegetables here because they have quite an OK list of vegetarian food for you. You can taste that all the ingredients that they use are absolutely fresh – so fresh you can taste it at first bite! Try, also, their scallop with risotto…this is mouth-watering stuff.

Menu had lots of choices - even some vegetarian options. Homemade pasta was interesting - but not used to the fresh taste.... Also, blackboard specials were very good. For those who like to dine in the outdoor, this Staten Island bus tour dining destination’s got a handsome patio which might not be available during winter.

Overall, this Staten Island restaurant is worth your bus tour stop…affordable and provides excellent food. For more information and reservations, call (718) 720-2005. Aesop, one of Staten Island’s best restaurants is located at 1233 Bay St, at Maryland Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305-3111. Cuisine is a nice mix of American and French.
