Lincoln Memorial (Washington DC, DC)

Lincoln Memorial is a place synonymous to Washington DC…United States of America, even! Your bus tour holiday trip wouldn’t be complete without making a short bus tour stop at Lincoln Memorial, one of Washington DC’s top bus tour attractions! It’s not only a landmark of Washington DC but I consider it an American landmark as well since it is devoted to educating everyone who visits on our famous President who gave us the country that we are today. You should take a picture with the 19-foot statute of Lincoln deep in thought. There are so many pictures and smaller replicas all over the place, so, it’s time to take a look at the real thing during your bus tour stop here.

Another significant feature of this Washington DC attraction is the 36 Doric Columns that signifies the number of states in the country. You’ll see a lot of foreign families with kids on family bus tour holidays here playing hide and seek with the columns! You might even want to try it out for yourself. Talk about cheap thrills! Day times are almost always bad as you’ll see a lot of holiday-goers packing up this Washington DC historical attraction. If you don’t like big crowds, go during night time. Either way, it’s free to enter.

There’s also an unforgettable memorial for the Vietnam and Korean War too. Very interesting, I would have to say. The significance of these wars has been downplayed so much that we don’t know as much as we should about them until we see it at this Washington bus tour attraction. When you make a bus tour stop here, what you’ll feel is a painfully obvious sense of pride for your country. You’ll learn how to appreciate the freedom we have and the opportunities that we have taken for granted. I would say that this is an invaluable Washington DC bus tour stop and fully recommends it.

I doubt anyone in Washington DC can say that they don’t know where the Lincoln Memorial is but just in case, Washington DC’s Lincoln Memorial can be found at Lincoln Memorial Cir SW and 23rd st NW, Washington, DC 20242-0001. For more information, call +1 202 426 6841 or visit www.nps.gov/linc. This Washington DC attraction is open 24 hours a day.
