I swear you can hear the frantic squeals of delight even before stepping out of the Washington DC tour bus! The kids will love it – be it boy or a girl. I believe that every one of us have dreams or fantasies of physically taking flight or flying an airplane. Washington DC’s National Air and Space Museum will see to it that every single childhood dream of yours related to flying will come alive! It feels a little old and ancient (maybe it’s because it is!?) but that’s what gives it character. There’s the dozens of really old aircrafts from the Wright Brothers to World War II planes to Space machines, Apollo 11! As long as it flies, it’s here at this amazing Washington DC National Air and Space Museum.
In every bus tour attraction, there is always one or two highlight. As far as this Washington museum is concerned, it’s the old airplanes
AND the IMAX theatres. The Washington DC Air and Space Museum’s IMAX was created by NASA themselves therefore, it is very realistic – and the screen is humongous…five-storey, for the record. It is one thing to sit in a flight simulator but it’s quite another thing to touch a
MOON ROCK…a real one, folks! Star Trek fans who makes bus tour stops here will get the chance to get ‘beamed up’ to the original set of The Enterprise. And if you decide to make a bus tour stop here, remember to take the flight simulator. It’s one of the best I have ever been on and very realistic too…like I know what ‘real flying is’ but still….
There’s no admission fee…yes, it’s free to get in to this Washington DC bus tour attraction but you have to pay very nominal fees to experience some of the rides here. After your bus tour stop at this Washington DC attraction, take the bus to one of the restaurants all around this attraction. No problem too if you don’t have a place to stay, lots of budget hotels and motels in and around here.
