North Dakota Bus Charter "Peace Garden State" North Dakota

North Dakota is called many things including the Pease Garden State, the Flickertail State, and the Roughrider State. Regardless of the nickname you choose to call this state, it is a gem of the United States loaded with national parks, museums, and touches of uniqueness that set it apart from the rest. Enjoy the wonderful attractions below aboard a North Dakota charter bus.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is one of the most intriguing places to experience in North Dakota. Part of the name of this park came from one of Theodore Roosevelt's own remarks. The National Park Services quotes Roosevelt as saying ‘I never would have been President if it had not been for my experience in North Dakota.” This North Dakota park is set in the badlands, where Roosevelt found great destruction of grasslands, and big games species. Thus, he created the Forest Service in 1906 when he signed the Antiquities Act. From that act, 18 national monuments were proclaimed. He named 5 national parks, 51 wildlife refuges, and 150 national forests according to the National Parks Service. A New Jersey charter bus can make seeing this national treasure a walk in the park.

The Enchanted Highway

One of the most different and perhaps bizarre things to see in the United States is the Enchanted Highway, which calls North Dakota home. The Enchanted Highway offers the world's largest metal sculptures, created by Gary Greff. So how did he come up with this? The Official Enchanted Highway site offers that he wanted to bring people into his home of Regent. He designed, welded, and painted all of the sculptures. The sculptures are named the Tin Family, Teddy Rides Again, Pheasants on the Prairie, Grasshoppers in the Field, Geese in Flight, and Deer Crossing. He is working away on a new sculpture, Fisherman's Dream. This artistic oddity is a definite North Dakota must see. Enjoy it from the seats of a charter bus and leave the driving to someone else.

The Dakota Dinosaur Museum

The museum was created to promote tourism and teach the world a little bit more about geology and paleontology. The museum, according to the Dakota Dinosaur Museum Online, is a 13,400 sq. ft. museum. The museum contains full-scale "fleshed-out” dinosaur sculptures of Coelophysis, Deinoychus, Dromaeosaurus, Velociraptor, Archaeopteryx, and Compsognathus. These are just a few of the many exciting things happening at the Dakota Dinosaur Museum. This museum is especially good for children and families.

Knight Life

If you are interested in a little casino fun, consider the Prairie Knights Casino and Resort. There are a variety of games to play, including over 600 machines. There is also blackjack, craps, 21, Three Card Poker, and Let it Ride. The casino is run by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and offers all of the casino fun you can imagine!

Pioneer Trails Regional Museum

The PTRM is one of the boldest museums encompassing many different types of science. These include anthropology, archeology, astronomy, botany, genealogy, and paleontology. Plus, there is a definite taste of local history in the museum. With all of this to do, how could you resist this museum! Let a charter bus service take you there.

Fort Union Trading Post

Finally, there is the Fort Union Trading Post. This National Park returns the visitor to the middle 19th century. According to the National Park Service, the Fort Union Trading Post was the most vital fur trading post on the upper Missouri River. Tribes traded furs for trading goods such as beads, blankets, cloth and cookware.

These are just a few of the attractions that are available for the traveler to North Dakota. Make your dollar count the next time you decide to travel. Instead of paying outrageous gas prices or airline tickets, take a trip on a North Dakota charter bus service and give your driving-feet a rest.
