As part of that brand promise we have developed a customer bill of rights to outline how any possible mishap goes beyond being corrected.
Customer Right #1: Upfront Pricing
All potential fees will be disclosed in writing at point-of-sale, and shall be included in the terms and conditions of the contract. Because US Coachways works on a first-come, first- served basis, prices may be subject to change based on availability. If a price increases after a contract has been signed, you shall be informed of the increase and shall have the right to cancel the contract without incurring any cancellation fee. This right of cancellation does not apply, however, when the cost increases are the result of changes that you have made to the itinerary.
Customer Right #2: Charter Cancellation Protection
You will be able to view a copy of the US Coachways cancellation policy online in the terms and conditions, and will be offered “charter cancellation protection” to reduce potential cancellation costs.
Customer Right #3: Professional Driver Promise
All our affiliate bus companies drivers have to abide by the Federal and State guidelines for driving and safety skills. In addition, all drivers shall have a thorough knowledge of your itinerary and shall exercise professional courtesy at all times. If you notify US Coachways that your driver failed to meet any of the above standards, US Coachways will conduct a thorough investigation of your concerns.
Customer Right #4: ‘State-Of-Emergency’ or Weather-Related Closure Protection
If a venue on your itinerary closes due to a state-of-emergency, US Coachways will cap any associated cancellation fees at $500 per vehicle, provided the cancellation is beyond your control. (Cancellation fees range based on date prior to departure. See terms and conditions for percentages) A weather-related cancellation fee shall be applied as a discount on subsequent travel if your charter is rescheduled with US Coachways.
Customer Right #5: Amenity Assurance
If any amenity on your charter bus malfunctions (including heat or air conditioning, restroom facilities, radio, television, ADA Lifts and PA system), US Coachways shall either fix the problem or provide you with a replacement bus, if possible. In addition, you shall be entitled to a credit up to 5% of the total charter cost for the day the amenity was not functioning, up to 20% of the total charter cost.
Customer Right #6: On-Time Promise
There is a 30-minute-grace-period for your initial pickup. If US Coachways is more than 30 minutes late picking you up, we will credit 5% for every 30-minute-period over the initial grace period, up to a maximum of 20% of the charter cost.
